Science

There is no one checking the label. So we did.

A supplement reaches a US shelf without anyone verifying what is inside it. No pre-market approval. No required testing. Nobody confirming the number on the front matches the powder in the capsule — that is how the rules have worked since 1994. We could not change the rules, so we did the checking ourselves: on the category first, then on us.

That's Why
We Fixed It.

Four things we changed because of what the audit turned up. Every one of them is on the label, not in a promise.

01.

What you see is what you get.
Every ingredient carries a number next to it.

02.

We read the category before we made ours.
Forty cayenne labels, bought at full retail, every panel read.

The 40 we read Everyday Hack
Prints how much active compound you get 2 of 40 Every formula
Sent a lab report for the batch we bought 2 of 6 Every batch
Prints a dose their own site contradicts 3 of 10 None
Biggest ad claim against its own label up to 100× 1:1
03.

The ratio, not just the big number.
360 mg of a 10:1 — so the figure can be checked.

04.

Third-party tested, every batch.
The report is published with the product, not held until asked.

Every figure in the table is from our own audit: forty cayenne supplements bought at full retail, every panel read, and the batch lab report requested by email from six of them as an ordinary customer. None of it is an industry statistic we found somewhere. The full list, including what we could not verify either way, goes out on request.

We Counted The Trials. All Of Them, Not Just The Flattering Ones.

The second half of the work was reading, not buying. Every figure here is a count from the published Montmorency literature — the whole set we went through, including the trials that found nothing.

69%

Showed lower inflammation markers

11 of the 16 trials in our reading list

4 of 4

Showed better sleep

every sleep trial in the set, none left out

80%

Showed less oxidative stress

8 of 10 — the marker that tracks how hard a body works to recover

65–80

The age range in the bone and cognition trials

the people it was actually tested on

Our own count, not an industry statistic. Nothing here is a customer survey — the store has no customers yet. The reading list goes out in full on request, including every trial that came back null.

The list

What never goes in.

Every other block on this page argues what we put in a capsule. This is the shorter list, and it is the one that actually decides what a formula ends up looking like.

  • Proprietary blendsOne total standing in for eight ingredients tells you nothing about any of them.
  • “Other natural ingredients”If it is in the capsule it gets a name on the panel. All four of ours are listed, filler included.
  • A milligram number with no ratio3,600 mg means nothing until you know what it is 3,600 mg of. Ours reads 360 mg of a 10:1.
  • Gelatin capsulesHypromellose instead, so the shell is never the reason someone cannot take it.
  • Added sugarThe studied compounds do not need it. It is the juice format that usually brings it along.
  • Purity we graded ourselvesAn outside lab confirms identity and potency. Marking your own work is not verification.
  • A dose that only appears in the adOne number, and it reads the same on the ad, the page and the panel.
  • An unnamed botanical varietyMontmorency, not “tart cherry”. The variety is most of what the research actually tested.
  • A report held until someone asksIt goes up beside the product. Proof that only exists on request is not proof.

Nine rules about our own formulas. None of them is a claim about another brand — where a practice is named it is the practice being described, not whoever uses it.

90 days. Your order empty or full.

Not 30. Not 60. A ninety — because a thirty-day guarantee isn't a guarantee, it's a bet that you'll forget.

Take the whole pouch. If it didn't do anything, email us and we refund it. Nothing to send back.
